This is the civilian hunting version of the DV-2 military model knife. While the materials and construction methods remain the same, the finish and decorations separate it from the “standard issue“ genre. The blade has been mirror polished and bears deep etched, detailed, engravings of wild boars being the quarry and Wolf – the hunter.
This, we believe, is one of the finest production knives money can buy today, but not only is it functional but it is also a work of art. Featuring an engraved, hand ground, mirror polished z60 steel blade, a 40X13 stainless steel pommel / guard, and a hand shaped and polished leather handle, make this knife a real show stopper.
The 235mm long x 5.2mm thick blade serves well in delivering the coup-de-grace to wild boars and pigs, it can also be used to split bones with a single stroke. A handy attribute allowing it to make short work on a boars / game animals ribcage. The bone splitting / chopping section of the blade is in the form of an extra edge along the spine of the blade, culminating in a very steep angle reminisant of an axe, enabling the knife to split / chop even the thickest of cow and / or buffalo bone. Blade shape and grind geometry is of the heavy-duty general purpose type, permitting the chopping of wood to the preparation of food. The blade features deeply engraved images and motifs and will stand up to heavy usage. The knife comes with a heavy, hand stitched leather sheath.
